How to Eliminate Wrinkles - Ellen Stanton

As a beauty consultant it is my responsibility to be educated on the various types of skincare concerns my customers experience. I also need to know my products, and how and why they work.
One the most frequent questions I'm asked is: Do you have products for wrinkles?
The answer is yes. I do have award -winning anti -aging products specifically formulated to treat wrinkles.
In my fifteen years of experience, I've learned that many of my customers and clients do not understand the reasons they have wrinkles. They see lines, crevices and creases and want an instant fix. Though there are products to lessen and erase the appearance of lines, wrinkles and crevices, I believe it's important to know the nature of wrinkles.
Wrinkles are the natural part of our life's aging process.
As we age, the skin becomes more fragile, less elastic, causing lines, particularly around the eyes and mouth. The depletion of natural oils in the body cause dryness in the skin which will, in conjunction with the loss of elasticity, deepen the wrinkles in the cheek and neck, and contribute to a loss of firmness around the jawline.
Exposure to the sun is one of the leading causes of dry skin, which will accelerate the skin's wrinkling process. (Sun exposure can cause skin cancer as well as age spots, and discolorations on the skin).
I have many clients/customers who are avid golfers and gardners who mistakenly believe a small visor or small straw hat is sufficient to keep sun damage at bay.  Unfortunately, most of those customers have leathery skin that takes potent  products to undue the tremendous amount of damage done by the sun.
Can wrinkles be prevented?
There are many ways to prevent wrinkles. Protect your face, neck, hands, chest, and legs whenever you are out in the sun with products that have high SPF. (Sun Protection Factor)
Hydrate! Drink at least three glasses of water EVERY day
If you smoke, please either quit, or limit your cigarettes to one or two a day.
Cleanse and moisturize your skin with products that will specifically target your type of wrinkles (fine, deep, around the eyes, mouth and neck).
It is also important to wear sunglasses all year round.  Why?  Though the winter weather can be frigid, the sun's UV rays are still powerful.  Particularly when driving.  The sun intensifies through the windshield and will cause sun damage to both the eyes, face and hands.
Wrinkles can be treated.  But more importantly, wrinkles can be prevented with a few easy precautions.
